As you might expect, there’s no shortage of RV parks. You’ll find dozens in the area. With that in mind, we thought it’d be a good idea to run through the very best RV parks that Zion has to offer. Stay in one of these, and you’ll enjoy a comfortable stay while also having all the wonders of Zion — and nearby Bryce Canyon and Grand Canyon National Parks — on your doorstep.
Settler’s Junction RV Resort: The Best RV Park Near Zion
It’s not hard to see why Settler’s Junction RV Resort is so highly rated. This RV park offers the best of both worlds; you’ll be right in the middle of Southern Utah’s wild beauty, while also benefiting from all the modern comforts you need to have a truly relaxing vacation.
Settler’s Junction RV Resort is conveniently located right off I-15, in the heart of Southern Utah’s incredible National Parks hub, and offers extensive amenities. Featuring fast Wi-Fi, a fitness center, and a sauna, it’s an RV resort that encourages visitors to linger. You might originally plan on staying just a couple of nights, but we wouldn’t be surprised if you ended up extending your stay.
After all, there’s a whole lot of goodness to be found in and around Settler’s Junction RV Resort. There are world-class hiking trails just minutes from the resort, as well as some of the best stargazing opportunities in the state. Once you’ve finished your adventuring for the day, you’ll have a clean, modern, full RV hookup site to relax at.
Zion South Campground: For Stays Right Next to the Park
Want to be as close to Zion as possible? Then the Zion South Campground might be just the solution. This campground, which has space for RVs up to 40ft, is located just half a mile from the entrance of the park.
It’s run by the NPS, which does mean that it’s slightly more restrictive than what you’ll find at other RV sites. You’ll need to book in advance, and there are also reduced opening times throughout the year. There are also no hookups, and while generators are allowed, you can’t use them between 10 pm and 8 am.
However, for RVers looking for a rustic experience virtually in the park itself, there aren’t too many places that are better than Zion South Campground.
Watchman Campground: A Solid Campground Near Zion
One RV campground that might just edge Zion South Campground for proximity to the park is Watchman Campground, which is also run by the NPS. Unlike Zion South, Watchman Campground does have electric hookups at around half of its 189 sites.
The campground has picnic tables, fire pits, a dump station, and flushing toilets. Alas, there are no showers, but that’ll be less of a concern if your RV has its own. The RV park is also open year-round, which is a nice touch for RVers who like to visit during low season. Just note that, as with Zion South, there are quiet hours here that are strictly enforced.
WillowWind RV Park: A Great RV Park In Nearby Hurricane
WillowWind RV Park, located in nearby Hurricane, is well-rated by past guests thanks to its scenic beauty and the warmth of its hospitality. It’s around a forty-minute drive away from Zion, which is slightly further than the other parks we’ve mentioned on this list. It’s known for having a quiet, calm atmosphere where you can play pool against other guests, sit around a fire pit in the evening, or enjoy the complimentary cable and WiFi.
Bear Valley RV & Camping Resort: A Good RV Park
Bear Valley RV & Camping Resort is located around 1.5 hours away from Zion, though it does have the advantage of also being reasonably close to Bryce Canyon, which is around 45 minutes away. Many people choose to stay there after visiting Zion so that they can make an early trip to Bryce the following day.
If you decide to spend your time at the camp itself, you’ll find there’s a surprisingly large number of things to do. There are a lot of walking trails at the camp itself, which is especially ideal if you’re traveling with your dog in tow. There’s also a playground, games room, and a full convenience store.
Zion White Bison: For a Full Resort Experience
Most people who visit Zion in an RV want to have a nature-filled experience with modern comforts. However, if you’re looking for something a lot more resort-y, then you can also find that experience, specifically at Zion White Bison. It’s labeled as a glamping spot, but they also have space for RVs. If you choose to stay there, you’ll have access to an outdoor pool, fishing spots, pickleball courts, and river walking trails.
Bauer’s Canyon Ranch RV Park: For an Authentic Experience
Bauer’s Canyon Ranch RV Park offers a back-to-basics, authentic experience. The park itself provides minimal amenities, but that’s by design. When you stay at Bauer’s Canyon, you’re not there to splash around in a swimming pool or play games all night — you’re there to enjoy the simplicity of nature.
This is an RV park where you can simply sit back and enjoy the beauty of nature. You’ll find around 20 RV sites at the park, which also accepts tent camping, so it’s a smaller RV park — and that lends itself well to connecting with nature.
